Michael Witteveen

CEO and LEED AP

Since his graduation from Valparaiso University with a BS in Civil Engineering, Mike Witteveen has been involved in over $400,000,000 of construction. In addition, Mike has achieved his Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional Certification. His areas of expertise include hospitals, medical clinics, and medical specialty construction; concrete structures; steel construction and office midrises; historic restoration; elevated and pedestrian walkways; health clubs; restaurants, etc. He also has created a new, very successful special projects division for a large contractor, and re-engineered and reorganized several companies.

Mike possesses outstanding organizational and leadership capabilities, as well as extensive construction experience. He previously served as the President and is a longtime Board Member of the Lafayette Family YMCA and is the past President for the Downtown Business Center.

Michael Roberts

President and COO

Mike is a 1991 graduate of Vincennes University and has nearly 20 years of extensive experience on commercial projects. He has held supervisory positions for the construction of state office buildings, industrial buildings, high tech, public buildings, schools, fraternities and retail buildings.

He is experienced in the up-front coordination such as design and budgeting, as well as scheduling and subcontractor coordination.

Currently Mike and his wife, Rachel, are the Directors of Royal Family Kids Camp for abused and abandoned children. Mike is also very involved with Little league and youth football.

Carl Robison

Project Manager

Carl Robison came to Tecton with 16 years of experience working in the Glazing field. Carl came to Tecton with experience in large window systems, sealants, roofing, and leak detection. He enjoys fishing, boating, taking family trips, coaching football, and landscaping.

Stacy Abernathy

Project Development Manager

Stacy is a 1992 graduate of Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in Building Construction Management and a 2009 graduate Johnson University with a master’s degree in New Testament Research. In addition to a formal education in construction management, Stacy worked his way through the commercial construction ranks, working as laborer, carpenter, field engineer, and general foreman, before transitioning to project manager in 1998. Stacy now serves at Tecton as a Project Development Manager, working with owners and designers through the conceptual phases, managing construction, and managing company operations.

Charlie Gault

Project Manager

Charlie Gault has worked in the construction industry for over 22 years. After two years of college, he started working in the construction industry and worked his way up through the ranks as a carpenter. He has held supervisory positions for the construction of custom-built homes, commercial building and multiple 100-year old historic building restorations.

He is experienced in all areas of field operations including scheduling, coordination and contractor supervision.

Charlie is active in the Knights of Columbus and coaches sports in his local recreational leagues.

Kyle Kennell

Project Manager

Kyle Kennell has joined Tecton Construction Management, Inc. as a Project Manager. Kyle has a Bachelors Degree in Construction Management from Indiana State University.

For the last fourteen years, Kyle has managed the construction of NCAA athletic fields, concrete structures, schools, medical office tenant renovations and corporate office buildings. He has been responsible for the daily construction activity and coordination of contractors, scheduling of projects, onsite quality, and cost control.

Kyle enjoys planning and making home improvements, spending time with his two daughters, and enjoying the family owned farm.

Nathan Wireman

Project Manager
Nathan Wireman has over 20 years of construction experience. He began as a laborer for a heavy civil construction company working his way into a field supervisory position. In 2006, Nathan began Project Management and Estimating with a commercial general contractor specializing in commercial remodel, additions, and office build-outs. In 2010, Nathan began supervising and managing construction of new multi-family developments and in 2015 became a manager over multiple large multi-family renovations.

Nathan brings experience and knowledge of working through budgeting, designing, and value engineering with customers, architects, and engineers.

Nathan always enjoys spending time with his wife and children, hunting, riding horses, and making music.

Melissa Abernathy

Administrative Assistant

Melissa Abernathy has joined Tecton Construction Management as Administrative Assistant. She will be working as administrative support for the President and Project Managers. Melissa has spent the last twenty years teaching and taking on roles as a Pastor’s wife. Melissa volunteers with Purdue International Friendship Program, Lafayette Transitional Housing Center and enjoys beekeeping, gardening, and camping.

Tom Miller

Project Document Controller

Tom graduated with a degree in Management Information Systems from Purdue University in 1993 and an MBA from the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 1999. He brings over 20 years of IT experience including work for a Fortune 100 Company. Tom serves as the Project Document Controller for Tecton.

Tom volunteers in the "Read to Succeed" program in Tippecanoe County and is active in recycling initiatives.
